Peggy S Dougherty, CFE

FIRM RESPONSIBILITIES

Peggy is the Director of Business Bookkeeping Services for Capalbo Accounting Services. She is that friendly face that comes to your office and helps you set up your QuickBooks file or troubleshoot the problems you are having.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Peggy has been a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor since Intuit started the program in 1999.  She has continually maintained this certification and added the Enterprise Certification in 2007 and the Advanced Certification in 2009.  She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).

She is also a lecturer at Quinnebaug Valley Community College on various bookkeeping and QuickBooks matters.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Peggy is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners as well as the Connecticut Chapter of the ACFE. 

EDUCATION

Peggy received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Fairfield University.  She has taken numerous classes covering bookkeeping, accounting, fraud issues, sales and payroll taxes and many other related topics. 

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Peggy has been a weekly volunteer at the St. Vincent DePaul’s Soup Kitchen in Norwich since 2002.  She currently serves as the Treasurer of the Montessori Discovery School in Norwich. Peggy formerly served on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Museum of Southeastern Connecticut in Niantic.
